..But as a woman I admire honesty. There’s nothing more attractive than a man who is completely honest about his intentions, a man who has enough self esteem and confidence to let me know where we stand. If I have decided to get to know you, and invest time in you I would appreciate your honesty….

Two thumbs up πŸ‘πŸ‘

Theme: Asian Pacific Islander Americans continually contribute to the success of our society today. We take their inventions and hard work for granted while their names go unnoticed. The following list is a snippet of several Asian Pacific Islander Americans who deserve to be more widely known and shown a greater appreciation from ALL communities (both within and beyond the Asian American and/or Pacific Islander communities).

#5 (Korean Americans) KIM HYUNG-SOON and KIM HO with the creation of nectarines
Korean immigrants Kim Hyung-soon and Kim Ho arrived in California via the Hawaiian plantations in 1913 with the goal of “becoming the first millionaires in the Korean American community.” They soon founded the Kim Brothers Co. which led to their experiments in breeding fruit. One such experiment was the creation of crossing a peach with a plum with the result of a new fruit we now call nectarines. They also developed the “fuzzless” Sun Grand peaches and revolutionized the agricultural industry in the process.
Nectarines allow the best of both worlds as it’s a cross-pairing of both peaches and plums. Nectarines aid in promoting good health as they contain essential vitamins, minerals, and fibers that protect us from chronic diseases.
Thank you Kim Hyung-soon and Kim Ho!
